ABOUT DYNAMIC RECORDINGS
Dynamic Recordings has a passion
for music and an ear for that perfect

A Unique Journey
Growing up in Norwalk, Connecticut, Katz received musical inspiration from his older brother Gary, a trumpet player and collegiate music major. Bobby started playing trumpet himself when he was eight years old then switched to piano in high school.
At the same time, Katz was beginning to write lyrics and try his hand at creating songs. Artists as different as Billy Joel, Donald Fagen, The Marshall Tucker Band and Pink Floyd were among his early songwriting influences.
Moving to Orlando, Florida as he pursued a career in business, Katz continued to play piano at home and write songs as a creative release.
After going through a divorce, he was encouraged to step beyond the Baby Grand in his living room and record his compositions.

Katz continued to write new songs and, after moving back to Connecticut in 2007, began to record them at his home studio. His skills with samples and drum loops improved as he further honed his talents as a lyricist and composer.
Years later, after personally speaking with Hall of Famer Peter Miller (aka “Big Boy Pete”), Katz went on to earn his Audio Engineering Degree through Mr Miller’s Audio Institute of America.
With the build out and creation of Dynamic Recordings LLC, Bobby’s lifelong ambition to give back and help others create their musical dreams has been given its wings.
Thanks to a generous offer by the owner of Orlando’s famed ARTI Studios, Katz was able to lay down tracks to three of his songs at minimal cost. An even luckier break came when Bobby was fortunate enough to attract the interest of rock guitar legends Pat Travers (best known for his hit “Boom Boom Out Go The Lights”) and Barry Richman (whose credits include work with Eric Clapton and the Allman Brothers).
Pat contributed blazing lead guitar lines to “Ebb and Flow” and “Justified” with Richman laying additional lead and rhythm parts. Also brought on board for the sessions was drummer Sean O’Rourke (a veteran studio player and member of Sugarland, heard on “Ebb and Flow” and “Justified”) and reedman Tomas Ramirez (an acclaimed Austin Texas-based player who adds flute to “Ebb and Flow”). These songs eventually ended up on Lifetime Thing, Bobby’s first album.

My son always had a love for music. So, when we were looking for a great summer activity for him,
we signed him up for Dynamic Recordings’ music workshop.
He had a great time and is begging us to go back again.
